In making a point clear I often find myself asking people to come with answers to questions I already have the answer to. A large part of my message has been that trying is more important than succeeding. In this case, “Trying” is the conscious effort to come up with solutions and testing them!
In fact, you learn nothing by succeeding at things you weren’t conscious of doing in the first place. Enough said. New research makes a case for this way of learning as improving the likelihood of the lessons being retained by 10%.
